4 People Are Dead After BMW Collides With Freeway Pole

A high speed collision on the 710 Frwy has left four men dead after their BMW wrapped around a pole on the northbound side of the freeway. According to authorities, the crash happened shortly after 3:00 AM when the speeding BMW sedan slammed into a pole on the freeway's right shoulder.

The California Highway Patrol is confident that speed played a factor in the four deaths. noting that they received reports that the car was involved in street racing.California Highway Patrol Sgt. Jason Lopez told the LA Times (see here ) that " officials received reports the vehicle may have been racing but have not found evidence to support that theory." “We have a lot of leads to go off of to see if there was indeed some racing prior to the collision, but right now, that’s all speculative ,” he told the LA Times.

From recent reports, it appears that street racing is again on the rise and is fatal as ever.
